Nail dystrophy and bony involvement in chronic sarcoidosis
2009, Journal of the American Academy of DermatologyCitation Excerpt :Radiographic findings of bone cysts with a lace-like trabecular pattern signify a chronic course of sarcoidosis.10 With only a few exceptions,11-13 patients presenting with sarcoidal nail dystrophy have bony involvement11; therefore radiographs of the feet and hands are indicated. Since 86% of patients with affected digits will have pulmonary involvement,14 a chest radiograph is also indicated.
