Cortical veins of the superficial system are among the least frequently affected veins. The following describes a case of painful facial symptoms progressing to a focal syndrome associated with a history of chronic oral contraceptive use, with thrombosis of vein of Trolard detected and successfully treated with oral anticoagulants.
