Despite attempts to control the pressure with topical medication and selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT), surgical intervention using a Baerveldt glaucoma valve (BGV) was needed after which the intraocular pressure was controlled successfully. This rare but serious complication highlights the fact that in certain cases long-term monitoring of intraocular pressure is necessary following laser vitreolysis. ER -
