The patient had longstanding mild hyponatraemia, but developed moderate and symptomatic hyponatraemia characteristic of the syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone. The patient’s serum sodium returned to his baseline- mildly hyponatraemic, after initiation of treatment targeted towards EGPA.
