AB We present the case of a 77-year-old patient with a rapid onset of delusions, amnesia, agitation, insomnia and no previous psychiatric history, who was diagnosed with anti-N-methyl-d-aspartate receptor encephalitis. This case report highlights the importance of including autoimmune encephalitis in the differential diagnosis of older patients presenting with rapid onset psychiatric episodes.
