It may develop as a complication of intra-abdominal sepsis, such as diverticulitis or appendicitis. Patients typically present with a high fever that is sometimes accompanied by jaundice. We report a case of portal pyaemia associated with multiple liver abscesses and discuss the medical and surgical management of this condition. ER -
