She was subsequently diagnosed to have acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. Further investigations supported the presence of ectopic prolactin production as suggested by the presence of prolactin mRNA in the patient's marrow at diagnosis. Both the ectopic prolactin mRNA and galactorrhoea eventually resolved upon disease remission after treatment. ER -
