If you are an author with a Fellowship or otherwise entered into an agreement with us you will be governed by the terms of the author assignment and terms and conditions.

Use of the data that you provide us, or which is collected by using our websites, is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using this site you consent to such processing.
Access to BMJ Case Reports
We try to ensure that website availability is uninterrupted and that transmissions will be error-free. However, we cannot, guarantee that your access will not be suspended or restricted from time to time, including to allow for repairs, maintenance or the introduction of new facilities or services. We of course try to limit the frequency and duration of any suspension or restriction.
Accounts and passwords
General access to BMJ Case Reports does not currently require a subscription (other than for authors submitting case reports), but may require registration. This may be changed at any time.
If you have registered your user name, identification code and/or password must be kept confidential and used only by you (unless agreed in writing with the BMJ Group). We have the right to disable any user identification code or password whether chosen by you or allocated by us at any time if in our option you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these terms of use.
Intellectual property rights
The content, layout, design, data, databases and graphics on this website are protected by UK and other international intellectual property laws and are owned by the BMJ Group or its Licensors. Unless expressly permitted in writing, the following are the only current permitted uses of BMJ Case Reports material which must be non-Commercial Use* (unless otherwise stated):
- The right to reproduce a reasonable number of print copies (no more than 100) of any single BMJ Case Report by copying or downloading it from this website, for personal use and/or to send copies to colleagues in print or electronic form, provided no fee is charged and this is not done on a systematic basis (which includes via mass e-mailings).
- The right to include a BMJ Case Report a compilation for classroom use (course packs) to be distributed free of charge (other than for direct photocopying costs) to students at the BMJ Case Reports user's institution or to be stored in digital format in data rooms for access by students as part of their course work and for in house training programmes of the BMJ Case Reports user's employer or at seminars or conferences subject to a limit of 100 copies.
- The right to use selected figures and tables and selected text (up to 250 words) from a BMJ Case Report for incorporation within another work published in print or digital format by a third party, (which may be a Commercial Use), so long as credit is given to the BMJ Group and specific part of the BMJ Case Report does not indicate another copyright owner as in this case permission must be obtained directly from the copyright owner.
- Any permitted use of BMJ Case Reports herein is subject to ensuring that BMJ Group’s copyright notices and trade marks appear as they do on all copies online and customary bibliographical citations including author attribution, date article title (where applicable) and the URL to the BMJ Case Reports website are included. If you print off or download any material from our website in breach of these terms of use, your right to use our site(s) will cease immediately and you must at our option return or destroy any copies of the materials you have made.
- All other rights not expressly granted by the BMJ Group are reserved.
*"Commercial Use" includes:
- copying or downloading of documents, or linking to such postings, for further redistribution, sale or licensing, for a fee;
- copying, downloading or posting by a site or service that incorporates advertising with such content;
