    Citation Excerpt :

The treatment of bowel hernias causing early postoperative small bowel obstruction required a second laparoscopic or laparotomic procedure in all patients (8, 2, 13). Spilled gallstones and free linear staples are also reported to be rare causes of small bowel obstruction (3, 17, 18). Romagnolo and Minelli (2) were the first to report small bowel occlusion after operative laparoscopy due to retained myoma fragments.
