A 57-year-old woman was diagnosed with serous papillary ovarian adenocarcinoma, for which she underwent total abdominal hysterectomy, bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, omentectomy and appendectomy (omentum, appendix and other organs other than left ovary were grossly normal).
