Summary

Patients with resistant hypertension are at greater risk for cardiovascular complications. Spreading out medication for the treatment of hypertension is a well known and widely used practice. Chronotherapy, the optimisation of schedules for administering drugs, constitutes a new option in optimising blood pressure control and reducing risk.
